Watching "Teesri Manzil" has become a ritual. At least once every summer, and every Christmas holiday season, Mr. ShamsherRaj Kapoor enlivens the television screen, hopping pigeon toed, shaking every conceivable muscle, feigning anger, proclaiming his love to the lovely lady, and endearing himself to two generations at the same time. actually three if you count my mother. but she is more partial to Mr. RanbirRaj Kapoor. None of us agree with her. Luckily my daughter is in my camp, that of the eternal fans of Mr. ShamsherRaj Kapoor. This holiday season we watched his hit songs on dvd instead of the Teesri Manzil "suspense". What a treat!
